불만을 표현하는 상황에서 complain을 쓰기에는 적절해 보이지 않을 때, air grievances를 쓸 수 있다.

보통 시정되기를 바라는 것이 있을 때 사용한다 

• 회사에서 직원들이 경영진한테 월급 인상률이나 성과급이 적다고 공식적으로 불만을 표출하는 경우
• 주민들이 지방자치단체에 문제 사항에 관한 민원을 넣을 때

 

grieve의 명사 형태 두 가지

• grief : 슬픔, 고통
• grievance : 불만, 고충

• We feel comfortable enough at home to air our grievances freely.
  우리는 집에서 편하게 불만을 표현합니다.
