남자아이와 견과
A boy put his hand in a jar full of nuts.
He grabbed as many as he could,
but when he tried to pull his hand out, he couldn't because of the neck of the jar.
He burst into tears because he wanted to keep the nuts.
A bystander said to him, "Be happy with half the quantity, and you will be able to pull your hand out."
Do not attempt too much at once.
한 남자아이가 견과류로 가득한 병 안에 손을 넣었습니다.
아이는 할 수 있는 한 많이 쥐었습니다.
하지만 손을 빼려고 하자, 병 입구가 좁아 손을 뺄 수 없었습니다.
손에 쥔 견과를 다 먹고 싶었던 아이는 울음을 터뜨렸습니다.
지나가던 사람이 그 모습을 보고 말했습니다.
"반 정도로 만족하렴, 그럼 손을 뺄 수 있을 거야"
한 번에 너무 많은 일을 하려고 하지 마세요.

남자아이는 잡을 수 있는 만큼 많이 쥐었다.- as many as A는 'A만큼의 양'을 말하고자 할 때 쓰는 표현.
- as는 '~처럼', '~만큼'의 뜻으로 쓰임.
- 즉, 'A만큼 많은 양'이라는 뜻.
- It is as good as it gets.
좋아질 수 있는 만큼 좋다.
→ 이보다 더 좋을 수 없다. / 더할 나위 없이 좋다.
- Do not attempt too much at once.
한 번에 너무 많은 일을 하려고 하지 마라.- once는 '한 번'이라는 의미가 있으며 at once는 '한 번에', '한꺼번에'라는 뜻.
- At this restaurant we can try many different Korean side dishes at once.
