실망을 하기도 한다.

discrepancy는 어떤 것들 간의 '차이',

혹은 '불일치'를 일컫는다.

일관성이 있어야 하는데 그렇지 못한 경우에 주로 사용한다.

  광고와 실제 제품이 차이 난다.
• The discrepancy between what is described in the book and reality is huge.
  책이 묘사한 것과 현실의 차이가 크다.
• Have you found any discrepancy  in the lawyer's logic?

  그럼 왜 우리는 그런 일이 일어났다고 생각하는 건가요?

     • 인생명언 002에서 살펴봤던 what의 관계대명사 구절이다.
       간단하게 설명하면 part of A에서 A가 한 단어이면 해당 단어만 쓰면 되는데
       위 문장처럼 A자리에 [we're trying to understand]이 들어가야 하는데 너무 기니까
       그 앞에 what을 넣어서 연결해 준다고 생각하자.

     이 베타-코로나바이러스들에 대해
  3. why is there this big discrepancy
     왜 이렇게 큰 차이점이 있는지
  4. between adults and children.
     성인과 어린이 사이에.

문장이 길어 어려워 보이지만 오늘 배운 discrepancy만 알면 생각보다 쉬운 문장이다.

그런데 글을 쓰려고 영상을 보니 좀 놀라운 게

영상이 2020년 3월 3일 영상이다.

전부 다 보진 않고 돌려봤는데

인사할 때 주먹치기(fist bump)를 한 게 정확히 언제인지 모르겠지만

영상에서 주먹치기를 하면서 손 씻기와 물건이나 사람과의 접촉을 줄여야 한다는 이야기 하며

손을 어떻게 씻어야 하는지도 나온다.

코로나가 막 퍼지기 시작한 시기여서

팬데믹이 이제 막 시작됐다고 생각하면 굉장히 재밌고 유용하다.

워낙 초반이라 진행자와 게스트가 마스크를 쓰지 않고 있다.
